Join Us for our Hispanic Heritage Month Fiesta!

Get ready to celebrate our culture with a vibrant initiative under the Title V Developing Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) Grant at WNMU, Con Ganas! We’re excited to invite you to our Hispanic Heritage Fiesta on September 19th in the Intramural Gym on the WNMU campus. This joyous event will showcase the incredible talents of our Dual Enrollment students from Deming along with WNMU’s enthusiastic HSI Student Ambassadors.

We are thrilled to have special guests joining us, including local Chicano Historian Javier Marrufo, multimedia reporter Mónica Ortiz Uribe, the Grant County League of United Latin Citizens (LULAC) Council 8003, and the Los Angeles-based art collective Kalli Arte.

Get ready for an day filled with excitement featuring performances by Baile Folklórico and Mariachi Plata! Don’t miss the engaging artist platica hosted by Mónica Ortiz Uribe and a stunning art display from Kalli Arte.

As part of this festive celebration, we will also award scholarships to one dual enrollment student and one WNMU student.
